Last night I had the honor of checking out Abercrombie and Fitch’s brand new store design, and let me tell you…it is totally worth seeing! The entrance of the store is welcoming, bright and has that open concept feel. Walking around the store, you really got a warm and inviting attitude from the employees. The racks were free standing and the clothing was beautifully displayed.

One of my favorite parts about the new design were their dressing rooms. Don’t you hate going to a store and having to awkwardly step out onto the sales floor to show your friend how the jeans fit? Well, here you get your own private dressing room with your friends! The dressing rooms are set up so you have a space to get your friend’s opinion and have more of a private shopping experience. Once you enter the dressing room, there is a nook for your belongs and clothes. Up in the corner, you’ll find a ledge with chargers for both iPhones¬†AND Androids and a control pad that allows you to pick the lighting.

We have all experienced poor fitting room lighting and it really discourages you from wanting to buy anything, with the A&F dressing rooms you can pick from 4 different settings: Standard, Fireside, Radiant Sun, and Night Owl and then you can adjust the brightness. I mean, how cool is that?! I had to check out all 4 settings with each outfit I tried on, just to see how my romper might look at night time or by a firepit ūüėÄ

I’m excited to see A&F launch the next chapter in their brand and create new experiences for shoppers in the store. The grand opening of the store is today, February 17th, at Polaris Fashion Place and is a must see! You know you want to check out those sweet dressing rooms. ūüėČ

This past Thursday I was lucky enough to spend the evening shopping at the brand new Tanger Outlets Columbus. It was a beautiful night with special “Tanger-tini” cocktails, free carnival rides, and fantastic deals. I’d highly suggest checking it out, there are so many great shops and deals, you’ll need to cut out at least half a day to concur it all. ¬†I had the pleasure of partnering with The Limited Outlet store to pick out a couple of pieces and share with you all the outfits that I styled.

These wide legged cropped jeans are intimidating at first. They are a little different from your usual everyday jeans, and that is why I love them! This particular pair, from The Limited, are both flared and cropped perfectly. I went with a white button down to pair with them to balance out the unique style of the jeans. You get that classic white shirt and blue jean look but will have a more trendy feel.

Quick change and onto the other outfit I styled from The Limited. This skirt was the first thing I saw when I walked into the store and knew I had to have it. It is the perfect skirt for the summer. The fringe is on trend right now and changes up the texture of the look. The scarf (only $9.99!) I love all the fun pastel colors with the yellow border and knew it’d be a great accent to many of my spring and summer outfits.

Overall I’d say my trip to The Limited Outlet store at Tanger Outlets was a success. I can always count on The Limited to have good quality, classic pieces that I know will last me throughout the seasons.

“Playing dress-up begins at age five and never truly ends.” –Kate Spade, and I can’t agree more. When I was younger, my sisters and I would play dress up all the time, and we had so much fun putting together costumes, which is exactly how getting dressed as an adult should be! Back when I was 5, my dress-up inspiration usually came from whatever my favorite Disney movie was at the time. Not too much has changed, except that I’ve broadened my movie horizons beyond Disney. My outfit inspiration comes from all over, magazines, Instagram, street style, Pinterest, fashion shows and movies. That is why I love fashion because it is all around. With the final movie of The Hunger Games coming out this week I thought a Mockingjay inspired outfit post would be kind of fun ;). Going through my closet, I looked for leather, industrial, and dark pieces to give me that girl power, confident look that Katniss models throughout the movie. You’d be surprised with all the different looks you can put together with pieces you already have in your closet. So have fun with dressing up every morning!

Last weekend I enjoyed a relaxing and pampering spa day with The Spa at River Ridge. After a busy beginning to fall, it was nice to have a Saturday with nothing planned but relaxation. Everyone needs that one day of no plans. Whether your idea of relaxing is peace and quiet, a spa day, or a nice long hike, make sure you plan a day every once in a while to enjoy just that. It makes all the difference!

A spa day with some blogger friends, count me in! I started my morning off with a 60-minute Swedish massage (my very first massage ever!) My masseuse, Kali, worked all my knots out and I left feeling¬†stress-free, which is rare for me to say. Although I must admit, my feet are extremely ticklish, so I requested those get left out of my massage, for her safety ;). After my Swedish massage was my Signature Facial with Skye. Beyond just getting a facial, Skye also went over my daily facial routines and the condition of my skin. I learned my skin was a bit dehydrated, so I’ve been working on drinking more water! I think my favorite part of my facial was the high-frequency wand, or I like to call it the “zapper.” It worked magic!! I had a blemish on my cheek, so Skye zapped it…it disappear the next day. Sometimes I break out a bit after facials from the extractions, so she zapped around my jawline as well, and voila no post-facial breakout! Now I didn’t think it was possible to be more relaxed after my massage and facial but it was. After my facial, it was time for my blow out with Miranda. One of my favorite parts of going to the hair salon is getting a scalp massage; I about fell asleep during my shampoo and scalp massage. With a fresh face, a tense free back, and a fabulous blowout it was time for lunch with the girls. We were lucky enough to have a suite all to ourselves as we enjoyed salads and pizzas from Dewey’s Pizza¬†and caught up with each other. What a wonderful day of relaxing and catching up with friends. All my services were the perfect amount of time, and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Thanks, The Spa at River Ridge! I look forward to seeing you again! ūüôā

Thank you Roosevelt Group for photographing the experience!

How to get Anne Hathaway’s look from Warner Bros. Entertainment’s new movie The Intern! Now out in theaters everywhere, The Intern is about a 70-year-old widower, Robert De Niro, who is looking to come out of retirement and applies to be an intern at an e-commerce site founded and run by Anne Hathaway. Anne Hathaway’s character in the movie, Jules Ostin, has a sophisticated, yet trendy style. Now I’ve had my fair share of fashion internships, some paid, but mostly pro bono work, so I wanted to share with you ways to dress like the head of a fashion company, even if you are still the intern.

  1. This past year I purchased a white cotton button-down from Gap; it is casual fit and super comfortable. It has been so versatile and can be worn both to work or out. It also gives you a more professional look, even when worn with jeans or, in this case, leather pants. Layering the shirt is a great way to give you a more sophisticated look.
  2. Many people already have a pullover sweater, so try layering that with collared shirts underneath. Look at mixing colors and prints when layering, it won’t be overwhelming because the undershirt doesn’t show much.
  3. On to the pants. Leather or pleather pants are a perfect way to make your outfit look trendy. They have that bold aspect about them that shows you are cutting edge.
  4. And then the heels, I’m a big fan of colorful shoes, especially when worn with neutral colors, they pop nicely. I feel more professional when I wear heels, but they aren’t for everyone, so try out what style shoe you feel confident in and roll with that. (I included three different heights of shoes below)

In the end, don’t be afraid to dress like a founder of a successful fashion company, like the saying goes “fake it until you make it!”
