Valentine’s Day at Polaris Fashion Place

February 8, 2017

I’ve teamed up with Polaris Fashion Place to give you my Valentine’s day look and a couple of ideas for how you can spend the day with loved ones. Whether your loved ones are family and friends or a special someone, Valentine’s day is about being with who you love and having a good time.

The outfit that I put together for you guys is for a daytime date. It is more casual, comfortable for walking around and shopping, and has that pop of pink, just for fun ;).  The pop of pink, is my sweater from Banana Republic. It is a super warm mock neck sweater that is currently on sale! Paired with a necklace and an Express navy leather jacket. Express has this jacket in black and navy, but I thought I’d switch it up with the navy. Yes, I’m wearing white jeans in the winter, and I don’t care! These J.Crew high rise white jeans are a staple piece. Even though they are white, I always feel like white jeans add color to an outfit.

I’m also currently obsessed with this matte lipstick from Mac. I’ve accepted that bright red lipstick just doesn’t work for me, so this was the perfect shade of red and purple to give me bold Valentine’s day lips.

A day full of shopping at Polaris Fashion Place can get tiring, so my suggestion would be to head to California Pizza Kitchen, which happens to be one of my favorites, grab the Thai Peanut Crunch Salad and a glass or two of Pinot Noir.

Here are some other ideas to do while at Polaris:

  • A fun alternative is a chocolate and wine pairing at Bliss in a Bottle.
  • Grab a coffee from Starbucks, find a bench and enjoy creating fun stories about the other shoppers you see.
  • Chow down on delicious eats and grab a drink, then show your competitive side as you go head-to-head playing arcade games at Dave & Buster’s.
  • Enjoy relaxing together during a spa treatment at LK Salon or Nail Pro.
  • Pick out clothes for each other at Banana Republic, J. Crew, Brooks Brothers and the Gap.
  • Find a sexy scent you both like at Bath & Body Works, Lush, Aveda
  • Try out rings together at Kay, Farah, Andrews or Ashcroft & Oak Jewelers.
  • For an extra special gift, select something at La Senza or Victoria’s Secret.

While you are enjoying Valentine’s day shopping at Polaris, don’t forget to head to guest services to enter to win two contests currently going on. The Perfect Date Night, valued at $500, has your perfect date already planned, you would get tickets to the Ohio Theater, restaurant gift card, hotel room, and much more. Hurry this contest ends tonight at 11:59pm ET. The second contest to check out is Love Ties, supporting Salvation Army.

No matter what kind of Valentine’s day you are looking for, Polaris has plenty of options for all types of dates!

The Limited at the Tanger Outlet Columbus

June 26, 2016

This past Thursday I was lucky enough to spend the evening shopping at the brand new Tanger Outlets Columbus. It was a beautiful night with special “Tanger-tini” cocktails, free carnival rides, and fantastic deals. I’d highly suggest checking it out, there are so many great shops and deals, you’ll need to cut out at least half a day to concur it all.  I had the pleasure of partnering with The Limited Outlet store to pick out a couple of pieces and share with you all the outfits that I styled.

These wide legged cropped jeans are intimidating at first. They are a little different from your usual everyday jeans, and that is why I love them! This particular pair, from The Limited, are both flared and cropped perfectly. I went with a white button down to pair with them to balance out the unique style of the jeans. You get that classic white shirt and blue jean look but will have a more trendy feel.

Quick change and onto the other outfit I styled from The Limited. This skirt was the first thing I saw when I walked into the store and knew I had to have it. It is the perfect skirt for the summer. The fringe is on trend right now and changes up the texture of the look. The scarf (only $9.99!) I love all the fun pastel colors with the yellow border and knew it’d be a great accent to many of my spring and summer outfits.

Overall I’d say my trip to The Limited Outlet store at Tanger Outlets was a success. I can always count on The Limited to have good quality, classic pieces that I know will last me throughout the seasons.

This weekend Glam 356 x Chertova are coming together to give you an extraordinary one of a kind clothing line. I love Chertova’s jewelry line; the simplicity and elegance make her pieces perfect for any occasion, and her clothing line is no different! The Glam 356 x Chertova collection gives you a balance of simple and trendy. It provides you with a pallet of neutral colors and styles that are the timeless basics that everyone needs in their closet. I love that it is velvet too! The great thing about velvet is it’s versatile; dress it down during the day like how I styled it and then dress it up at night with black bottoms, glamourous faux fur, and silver jewelry. The entire collection was handmade here in Columbus, OH and will be on sale at Glam 356 starting this Saturday!

The Spa at River Ridge

November 4, 2015

Last weekend I enjoyed a relaxing and pampering spa day with The Spa at River Ridge. After a busy beginning to fall, it was nice to have a Saturday with nothing planned but relaxation. Everyone needs that one day of no plans. Whether your idea of relaxing is peace and quiet, a spa day, or a nice long hike, make sure you plan a day every once in a while to enjoy just that. It makes all the difference!

A spa day with some blogger friends, count me in! I started my morning off with a 60-minute Swedish massage (my very first massage ever!) My masseuse, Kali, worked all my knots out and I left feeling stress-free, which is rare for me to say. Although I must admit, my feet are extremely ticklish, so I requested those get left out of my massage, for her safety ;). After my Swedish massage was my Signature Facial with Skye. Beyond just getting a facial, Skye also went over my daily facial routines and the condition of my skin. I learned my skin was a bit dehydrated, so I’ve been working on drinking more water! I think my favorite part of my facial was the high-frequency wand, or I like to call it the “zapper.” It worked magic!! I had a blemish on my cheek, so Skye zapped it…it disappear the next day. Sometimes I break out a bit after facials from the extractions, so she zapped around my jawline as well, and voila no post-facial breakout! Now I didn’t think it was possible to be more relaxed after my massage and facial but it was. After my facial, it was time for my blow out with Miranda. One of my favorite parts of going to the hair salon is getting a scalp massage; I about fell asleep during my shampoo and scalp massage. With a fresh face, a tense free back, and a fabulous blowout it was time for lunch with the girls. We were lucky enough to have a suite all to ourselves as we enjoyed salads and pizzas from Dewey’s Pizza and caught up with each other. What a wonderful day of relaxing and catching up with friends. All my services were the perfect amount of time, and the friendly staff made me feel right at home. Thanks, The Spa at River Ridge! I look forward to seeing you again! 🙂

Thank you Roosevelt Group for photographing the experience!

Warmer Fall Days

September 21, 2015

IMG_9026IMG_9015 IMG_9054IMG_9043 IMG_9078

Yesterday my boyfriend and I attended Independent’s Day Festival in Franklinton, Columbus, OH. There was so much to see! Every corner of the neighborhood was displaying pieces of art. There was everything, jewelry vendors, carpenters, live art, graffiti art, music, and much more! Creativity was definitely in the air. I loved seeing all the bright, vibrant colors and the liveliness of the festival. There were so many cool hidden pieces of art at this festival. In the background of some of my photos, you can spot a gold toilet hanging from the building. Other ones you can see graffiti art in the making as artist spray painted. Around one of the buildings was a painting of a robot, which matched my clear robot clutch. My favorite site was this ally that had a ceiling of hanging art by Dana Lynn Harpe. It was so pretty to look up at and made this sort of broken down ally look vibrant and fun.

One of the more confusing parts of fall is September. The temperature, at least in Ohio, goes back and forth from being 60 degrees back to 80 degrees. And there is a good chance you have already put away your summer clothing. That means this month is all about balance. Style your outfits with the idea of balancing top and bottom. If you are going to wear pants, stick with a short sleeve shirt or casual button down.  If you are going to wear a dress or skirt, make sure the top is longer sleeves or layer it with a light jacket. I balanced out my J Brand jeans with a loose short sleeve blouse to keep me comfortable yet seasonally appropriate. I also love a good hat in the fall; it tends to put the entire outfit together. Then there is my see-through robot clutch that I think is hilarious, and I mostly have it because I think it is fun!
